DAE's cast iron pan handle get so hot it branded my palm last Tuesday?
I grabbed the handle bare handed after pulling a skillet of cornbread out of a 450F oven, and now I have a nice red stripe across my palm. I wrapped it in a wet dish towel and finished dinner, but it got me thinking about those little silicone sleeves. Do they actually stay on when you move the pan around, or do they slip off the second you tilt it?
