Shoutout to the 10 minute taper fade that ate up my whole Saturday morning
Had a kid come in last Saturday wanting a skin fade and I figured it'd be quick, maybe 15 minutes in and out. Turned into almost 50 minutes because his hair was thick and growing in three different directions around the crown. I kept going back over the same spot with my clippers trying to get the blend right and it just wasn't coming clean. Finally I switched to my trimmer with the flat blade and worked it in smaller sections instead of trying to fade the whole thing at once. Took me about 40 minutes total, which is way too long for a basic fade, but the kid loved it and left a $10 tip. What's your go to move when the hair fights back and won't blend, do you switch tools or just slow down and keep at it?
