Older barber showed me his clipper oil trick from the 80s

I was cleaning my station after closing last Tuesday, and this retired barber who stops by for a cut told me he used to mix a drop of mineral oil into his Wahl cans to thin the viscosity. He said it kept his blades running cool even cheap ones. Anyone still do something outside the book like that?

You seen what mineral oil did to my buddy's board? @sandragonzalez is right on the money here. His old cruiser went from dragging to sliding like butter in one afternoon.
