Finally invested in a good clipper vacuum attachment
Went to a barber school convention in Cincinnati last fall and watched a dude do six straight haircuts without stopping to sweep once. Dude just clipped and the hair vanished into this little hose on his clipper. I always thought those attachments were gimmicky, but seeing how much faster he moved sold me. Got a cordless one last month and now I can't imagine working without it. Any of you guys use one daily or still just sweep between chairs?

Bought one three years ago thinking it'd save maybe ten minutes a day. Turns out it saves closer to thirty. The real game changer nobody talks about is how much better your floor stays. No more grinding loose hair into the tile with your shoes, no more dust bunnies that look like a small animal died under your chair. Also discovered you can use it to spot clean your car interior between clients. Didn't plan that, just noticed the suction was strong enough for coffee grounds and dog hair. Your barber school guy was right. It's not a luxury thing, it's a workflow thing.

Wait, hold on. @tarac16 said they use theirs for CAR INTERIORS? That's honestly genius and I'm kinda mad I never thought of that myself. I mean, the hair buildup from doing beards and neck trims in my car was driving me nuts, always finding little prickly hairs in the cup holders. Now I'm sitting here wondering if the vacuum clipper can handle coffee grounds without jamming up the filter though. I might actually try that this weekend, see if it saves me from having to bust out the big shop vac every month. The floor thing you mentioned is spot on too, I was shocked at how much cleaner my whole shop stays now.
