Hit 500 sourdough loaves baked, didn't expect to care that much

I keep a little tally on my phone for every loaf I bake, mostly out of boredom. Last Saturday I hit 500 exactly, took me about 3 years since I started during a slow winter. I thought it would just be a number, but seeing that count made me realize how many failed dense bricks I pushed through early on. The last 50 loaves felt way more consistent, like my hands finally know the dough without thinking. Anyone else keep a count of how many batches they've done, or am I just weirdly nerdy about this?

Totally get the counting thing, I do the same with my pie crusts and it's weirdly satisfying. Your last 50 being way more consistent sounds about right, muscle memory is a real thing that just takes reps. Take the win, you've earned it.
