That old guy at the video store who saved me from watching a stinker.

Back around 2018 I was at this little rental place in Cleveland grabbing a movie for Friday night. I picked up "The VelociPastor" because the cover looked insane, but some dude came over and said "nah, that one's boring after the first 10 minutes, try this." He handed me "Sharknado 3" and told me to watch with friends and a few drinks. He was right, that movie is so stupid but we laughed the whole time. Anyone else got a recommendation from a random stranger that turned out golden?

Huh, funny how that works. It's like how nobody wants to admit they need help picking a movie, but once you let someone steer you right, you realize most people are just waiting for a nudge toward something better.
