Finally got my friends to watch The Room with me after 4 years of begging

I've been trying to get my movie group on board with terrible classics since 2021, but they always wanted serious stuff. Last Friday I bribed them with homemade pizza and a six pack, and by the time the spoon scene hit, two of them were literally crying with laughter. Has anyone else had that moment where a so-bad-it's-good movie finally clicks with the right crowd, or is it all about the snacks and drinks?

The real trick is watching it with people who already know the reputation, because that shared expectation turns every bad line into a group inside joke. I've noticed the laughter hits harder when someone's quietly whispered "you're tearing me apart" before the scene even starts. That pre-game hype matters more than the pizza, honestly.
