Warning: I was about to give up on my muddy walkway after three failed gravel tries.

My backyard path in Seattle just turned into a slick mess every time it rained. I finally laid down a cheap roll of plastic grid stuff, filled it with pea gravel, and it hasn't sunk or washed out in six months. Has anyone else found a good fix for a high-traffic area that stays wet?

I used to think those plastic grids were a waste of money. Seeing your pea gravel hold up for six months is pretty convincing though. Might have to try that on my own soggy side path.

They're still a waste of money in my book. My gravel started shifting after the first big rain.
