My neighbor's fire pit party in Austin showed me a better way to handle mosquitos
Honestly, I was at my neighbor's place last weekend for a backyard hang, and the mosquitos were brutal as usual. I was about to go inside when he brought out this big box fan and just set it up near the seating area. Ngl, I thought it was weird, but he said he read that a steady breeze makes it hard for them to fly and land. We kept it on low, and I swear, within like 20 minutes, the biting just stopped. I've tried citronella candles and those bug zappers for years, but this was way more effective and cheaper. I went and got a basic 20-inch fan from the hardware store for $35 the next day. Has anyone else tried using a fan like this, or do you have a different trick that actually works?

That fan trick is legit, my buddy did the same thing at his cookout last month. Totally forgot about it until now, but yeah, the bugs just gave up. Makes sense when you think about it, they're tiny and weak flyers. I used to just cover myself in that sticky spray and hope for the best. Might have to dig my old fan out of the garage.
