Just finished my 100th autopilot calibration this year
I always thought it was just a routine box-check, but hitting that number made me see the pattern in the tiny adjustments. It's not just about the numbers on the screen, it's about feeling the aircraft's response in the air. Anyone else notice a specific calibration count where the process just 'clicked' for you?

Was there a specific flight where you felt the calibration results before you even saw the data? For me, that moment came after a string of rough weather landings. You start to trust the small tweaks because you've felt the plane settle differently each time. My advice is to keep a simple log of the conditions for each calibration, not just the count. Seeing that list next to the results makes the whole feedback loop much clearer.

I used to see it as just another task to get through. After about fifty, you start to notice the small feedback loops between the system and your hands. It shifts from a procedure to a real conversation.
