Why does nobody admit that parts cannon diagnostics is just guessing
Fixed a rough idle on a 2016 F-150 in my bay on Tuesday by checking fuel trims for 20 minutes instead of throwing a $90 MAF sensor at it like the last two shops did, so tell me why so many techs still call that a shortcut when it is literally the job.
Man that's frustrating, you did the actual job and the last two shops just played parts roulette on the customer's dime. Checking fuel trims for 20 minutes beats a $90 guess every time, and honestly the guys calling that a shortcut are usually the ones who never learned to read live data. Feels like the label gets thrown around by people who can't do it, not by people who can.
