One old customer made me rethink how I quote brake jobs

Last Tuesday, this retired trucker named Hank came in for a rear pad swap on his 2014 F-150, and while I was writing it up he said 'you're pricing the parts, not the problem' when I asked why he tows a camper 6 months a year. He explained how heat cycles warp rotors way faster than mileage, so I stopped pushing cheap pads and started asking every customer what they actually haul before touching the brakes. Has anyone else changed their standard repair advice based on one specific driver's real-world use, or am I just overthinking it?

Damn straight. Ask about towing or hauling every time now.
