Warning: That new paint booth at the supplier demo was a complete lie
I went to the SEMA show back in November and saw a booth from a big paint supplier claiming their new clear coat could cut cure time by 40 percent. After talking to a rep for 20 minutes I realized they were only counting the flash time not the actual bake cycle. Has anyone else tested these new "fast cure" systems and found the real numbers don't match up?

That 40 percent number sounded fishy the second you said they were only counting flash time. Did the rep actually show you any independent test data from a third party lab, or was it all their own marketing sheets with vague claims? I've seen a few of those booths at shows where they sand bag the numbers with "ideal conditions" that never happen in a real shop.
