Hot take: I finally tried that new clear coat from the shop in Tempe and my old brand just can't keep up.
Had a 2018 F-150 hood to do last week and sprayed half with my usual stuff and half with their 'Diamond Clear'. After baking, the Tempe stuff laid down smoother and had way less orange peel right out of the gate. It saved me about 20 minutes of sanding and buffing on that panel alone. Anyone else made a switch recently that actually cut down your finishing time?

That Diamond Clear sounds like a game changer for a busy shop. I see this everywhere now, where a slightly better tool or material just shaves off those small time sucks. My neighbor switched to a different brand of deck sealant last summer and cut his recoating time in half because it dried faster. Makes you wonder how much time we waste on stuff that's just "good enough.

Totally, it's crazy how those small upgrades add up over a year. Like, saving 15 minutes a day on just one task gives you back a whole work week. Makes me want to go through my whole process and find all those little friction points.
