Warning: I put a cheap LED light bar on my Polaris Ranger and it started flickering after 10 minutes in the cold.

Turns out the $40 unit from the swap meet wasn't sealed against moisture, and the connector iced up. Anyone know a good brand that actually holds up below freezing?

My own bargain bin light bar lasted exactly one ride through a muddy field before it filled with water like a tiny aquarium. I learned the hard way that "water resistant" just means it tries to resist for a few minutes. I ended up with a Baja Designs unit, and that thing has survived two brutal winters so far.

Oh man, that's the classic swap meet special! You didn't get a light bar, you got a fancy paperweight with delusions of grandeur. Of course it iced up, those things are built with the waterproofing of a cardboard box. I've heard good things about Rigid Industries from guys at the shop, but honestly, anything that costs more than a pizza is probably a step up.
