Tried studding my sled track vs just running stock screws and the difference showed up fast
Last weekend up near Eagle River I finally pulled the trigger on a set of 96 studs for my 2019 MXZ 600 after two seasons of running bare. First ride out I could actually hold a line through the icy corners on the lake instead of the back end kicking out every time. The studs cost me around $180 with the install tool, but braking on hardpack went from sketchy to locked in. Only downside is you feel every little bump through the bars now and my trail riding buddies say I'm chewing up the groomed sections. Anyone running a partial pattern instead of full studs, and does it save the trail enough to matter?
