The $180 winch that dragged me out of a beaver pond

Bogged my 4-wheeler near Brainerd right at dusk, water up to the seat. That cheap winch from the farm store took 20 minutes but yanked me out like nothing. Anyone else trust a budget winch over their buddy's truck?

Man, that sounds like a gnarly spot to be in, especially with dark coming on. Glad that little winch held up for you, those moments test everything you got. Good gear does not always have to cost a fortune, sometimes it just works when you need it most. I have seen fancy setups fail way harder than the cheap stuff, so I get it. Nothing beats the feeling of getting yourself out without having to call for help.
