Serious question, found oil leaks from snowmobiles on my last ride and it's annoying.

I was riding last weekend and spotted oil stains all over the trail. It's bad for the plants and animals in the area. How do we make people care about keeping the trails clean?

Didn't I read about trail cameras catching leakers?

Linda's got a point about the blind spots. Those cameras are good for a general area, but a smart leaker just goes around. I saw a case where they caught a guy because he kept tripping the same camera near a fence line, but that was pure luck. If he'd walked twenty feet to the left, they'd have nothing. They're a tool, not a guarantee.

That story about trail cameras catching leakers, @the_jake, seems a bit overhyped. In my experience, those cameras have lots of blind spots and false alerts. They might help sometimes, but I wouldn't count on them for sure catches.
