Heads up about the trail conditions near the old logging road off Route 16
Rode out there last weekend and the runoff has washed out a huge section, leaving a drop almost 4 feet deep that's hard to spot under the slush. Anyone know if the forest service is planning to mark it or do we need to handle it ourselves?

Saw a post on the local hiking group saying the same thing about that washout... they measured it with a pole and it was just over three and a half feet. Lucas587, it's definitely not an exaggeration this spring. The forest service budget for trail fixes around here is basically zero from what I heard. We should probably just go out with some flagging tape and a few rocks before someone gets hurt.

Used to think it was smaller, but that pole measurement convinced me.
