Can we talk about hitting 5,000 miles on a snowmobile in one season

I used to think anyone claiming to put 5,000 miles on a sled in a single winter was full of it or just riding groomed trails all day. But I hit that number last March after a trip up to the Keweenaw Peninsula, and now I get it. What changed my mind was riding with a guy who works for a trail grooming club up there. He showed me how to link up logging roads, frozen lake crossings, and backcountry loops instead of just going A to B. I tracked every mile on my GPS, and by the end of February I was at 4,700 without even trying hard. The 5,000 mark mattered because it proved I could explore way more terrain without burning out the motor or my back. Has anyone else hit a mileage goal that surprised them? I'm curious what setups you were running.

Funny how hitting a big number like that makes you rethink everything you were doing before...

Made me ditch half my process. Worked way better.
