My old DSLR sensor was a dust magnet, but switching to a dedicated astro camera with a sealed sensor housing changed everything.

After fighting sensor spots on every single 3-minute exposure with my old Canon, my new ZWO ASI2600MC Pro has given me 20 clean subs in a row, so what other gear upgrades have actually been worth the cash for you guys?

That sealed sensor housing thing is a real life lesson in paying for good design.

My old car had a cheap sensor that failed every rainy season. Honestly @keithbennett, it taught me that good design is just paying upfront to avoid constant headaches later. I finally replaced it with a sealed unit and never had the problem again.
