Critique about star color changed my whole editing flow
About 3 months ago someone on here told me my galaxy photos all looked the same because I was pushing the color balance too warm. I thought that was just my style, but I tried their suggestion to match the actual color temperature of each target using the field stars. It felt weird at first, but now I check star color before I even touch the main object. That one piece of feedback saved me from making every image look like a sunset. Anyone else had a comment that completely remade their process?

Did you ever worry that matching star color would kill the creative vibe, then realize it just makes things look more real?

At 3am last night I finally caved and matched all my alien nebulas to the actual star colors, and honestly it felt like someone turned on a light switch. The purple and blue clashes I'd been fighting just vanished. It's weird how the "wrong" colors were making everything feel fake, once I fixed it the scene basically told me where to put the shadows and highlights.
