Warning: I asked a question wrong for years until I tried this one thing
I used to ask super broad stuff like 'how do I get better at this?' and got vague answers. Last week, I was stuck on a woodworking joint and instead asked 'what's the exact hand position for a 45 degree cut on a miter saw?' I posted that in a forum and got three perfect video links in an hour. It seems like super specific questions get way better help than open ones. Do you guys find that too, or do you think starting general is better?

Totally, that "exact hand position" thing is key. I used to ask my mechanic friend why my car made a noise and he'd shrug. Last month I sent him a voice note of the exact clunk when I shift into third gear. He texted back "left motor mount" in two minutes. Specifics cut through all the guesswork.

Wait, he just shrugged before? That's wild.

Yeah I always thought it was just a brush off... but that exact detail thing is a game changer.
