Serious question, was the burrito or the burger the right call?

Last Tuesday I was in Austin at this food truck park and had to pick between a brisket burrito and a fried chicken burger. I went with the burrito and it fell apart after three bites, sauce all down my shirt. Has anyone else made a food choice that ended up being a total mess?

Honestly the real issue nobody's talking about is the mental game of choosing wrong and then having to stare at the other person eating the thing you passed up lol. Like you're sitting there with a torn up burrito and shredded napkins while some stranger bites into that crispy chicken burger and it doesn't even drip once. That makes the mess feel ten times worse. Also food truck parks with picnic tables are a trap for burritos because the breeze catches the loose tortilla and it flops open like a sad taco. Burger was the right call especially in Texas where the chicken is usually slapped together with some pickles and a solid bun.

Yeah, that "sauce all down my shirt" part hit home for me. I learned the hard way that anything with a wet filling like brisket or carnitas needs a tight double wrap and some serious structural integrity. A fried chicken burger is usually more stable because the patty is solid, but you gotta watch for the sauce dripping off the bun edges too. Next time, go with the burger unless you're eating the burrito at a table with a napkin bib situation. Also, pro tip: if you're at a food truck park, grab extra napkins before you even order because those things are never enough.
