Picked a cheaper wedding venue over the dream one, zero regret so far

We had to choose between the rustic barn place that was $18,000 and this community hall downtown for like $4,500. We went with the hall because my fiance pointed out we'd rather blow the difference on a killer honeymoon in June instead of one fancy night. Honestly, the hall had better parking, we could bring our own booze, and the caterer we wanted actually works there already. It rained all day and nobody cared because we were inside with string lights and a dance floor. Has anyone else downgraded a venue to fund something else and not missed the fancy one?
