The museum gift shop archaeologist moment honestly

I was killing time at the British Museum last Saturday before my train and wandered into the gift shop. On the shelf they had this little replica of the Vindolanda writing tablet, and the blurb said it was a soldier's grocery list from 100 AD. That just hit me weird, like this guy needed socks and beer two thousand years ago and someone kept the receipt. I stood there for like 15 minutes reading every tiny detail on the box. Has anyone else had that thing where a small everyday object suddenly makes history feel real instead of just dates?
