Showerthought: I stopped replacing fridge thermistors blind and started checking the ohm reading at room temp first
Had a Whirlpool side by side in Charlotte last month that was freezing the fresh food section. I swapped two thermistors before I caught on, but the real fix was checking resistance at 77 degrees before install. Turns out the new part was reading 8k ohms when it should have been closer to 10k, so I got a bad one straight out of the bag. Anyone else testing parts before they go in, or do you just trust the box?
