Ignored a tech's advice on a Maytag drain pump, paid $160 for it
A guy from the supply house told me to replace the pump housing and seal together on this Maytag washer, not just the motor. I figured it was upsell garbage, so I swapped only the pump motor.
Three loads later it dripped all over the floor in Orlando and I had to pull the whole machine again. Has anyone else found the seals wear out just as fast as the motor on those models?
