Appreciation post: the right torque wrench on that old Whirlpool washer

I spent 2 hours fighting a stripped bolt on a 2012 Whirlpool washer last Thursday before I borrowed my buddy's digital torque wrench instead of guessing with my regular one. The precision of that thing let me ease the bolt out without snapping it off in the drum housing. Has anyone else had a specific tool completely change how they handle a common repair?

@kelly.dylan a hammer is faster but torque wrenches stop you from making expensive mistakes later.

Did you try percussive maintenance first with a hammer like the rest of us amateurs?
