Update: I tried two different ways to run our weekly anime club chat, and one tanked hard.
Last month I used super specific questions for 'Vinland Saga', but after a member called them 'leading', the talk died in 20 minutes. How do you keep a group discussion from getting stuck like that?

Try opening with a super broad question next time, like asking what scene stuck with them most. It gives everyone a different entry point and avoids that quiz feeling. We bounced back by doing that after our own awkward 'Attack on Titan' talk.

Only 20 minutes after someone called your questions leading? That's brutal.

Leading questions can actually help focus a discussion when time is short. They cut through the noise and get people to the real point faster. Sometimes you need to steer a bit to get a straight answer.
