Took 40 minutes to find a 'hidden' setting in my anime app, turns out it was a filter this whole time

I was trying to sort my watchlist by air date for a rewatch of an older series and the option just was not showing up. Kept clicking around the profile tab, the library tab, even reset the app twice. Then I finally noticed a tiny gear icon inside the search bar itself that I never touched. The sort option was right there the whole time, behind a dropdown I thought was just for text filters. I wasted a whole evening on this, anyone else ever miss something that obvious in a streaming app?
