Dubbed my first 12-episode series after 8 years of subs, felt weird but now I'm torn

I finally watched an entire anime dubbed for a change and the emotional scenes actually hit harder in my own language, but the action dialogue felt flat, so has anyone else flipped sides on a specific show and stuck with it?
