Vent: The week my whole crew quit and I had to close the shop early
Last Tuesday my two best guys walked out over a pay dispute I did not even know was brewing, and I lost $2,100 in booked work that week. I run a small print and sign shop off 6th Street, so when it is just me on the machines things slow to a crawl. I stayed until midnight Wednesday catching up on a rush order for a car lot, and my wife had to bring me dinner because I never left. I have never felt that close to folding in the four years I have been open. How do other owners here handle it when a key person quits with no notice?
