TIL my buddy's one sentence critique saved me hours on color grading
I spent like 3 hours tweaking shadows in DaVinci Resolve and my buddy said 'just use the color wheels, stop overcomplicating it with curves.' After I switched to wheels my whole workflow got faster and the grade looked cleaner. Has anyone else had a single piece of feedback that totally changed how you edit?

Curves can be a trap for sure... they have their place but wheels are way more intuitive for getting the base right. I keep my grade simple now - exposure and contrast with the lift/gamma/gain, then tweak saturation and call it done. Most people spend too long chasing tiny details that nobody's gonna notice on a phone screen anyway.
