Was painting my whole garage ceiling until I finally paid attention to my own brush marks
I spent 3 weekends rolling and rolling thinking coverage was everything, then I borrowed my buddy's sprayer for one afternoon and saw how much faster and smoother it went. That was the moment I realized I'd been making the job harder for myself for zero reason. Anybody else stubbornly stick with a worse method just because you already bought the stuff?

The two days I wasted rolling my ceiling before switching to a sprayer still bug me, especially since the paint store guy warned me upfront. You already had the can and the roller, so how do you decide when the sunk cost is worth eating? Did you finish the garage with the sprayer, or did you go back to rolling out of pure spite?
