Swapped my cordless nailer for a pneumatic on a trim job, no regrets

I spent 2 years using a 20V brad nailer and thought it was fine until I borrowed my buddy's pancake compressor setup for a crown molding run off San Mateo. The difference in drive depth consistency was insane, especially on that hard pine around the door casings. My battery rig kept sinking nails too deep or leaving them proud, but the air one seated every single shot perfect after I dialed the regulator to 90 psi. Has anyone else made the switch and dealt with the hose hassle, or do you just deal with it for the cleaner results?

Man, I feel this so hard. I fought with my cordless for way too long because I hated dragging a hose around, then I finally used a buddies air rig and felt like an idiot for two years. The hose is a total pain in the ass, I'll trip over it at least once every job, but honestly I'd rather look clumsy than keep fighting with proud nails on hard trim. You hit the nail on the head about the regulator too, once you find that sweet spot it's like the gun just thinks for you. I still grab the battery one for quick little jobs where setting up the compressor takes longer than the actual work, but for anything serious I'm team air all the way now.
