My silly routine of singing to motion sensors led to a funny mix-up
I started humming tunes while adjusting motion detectors to pass the time. At a recent job, I was singing a pop song and didn't notice the homeowner's parrot picking it up. Later, the alarm kept triggering because the bird was squawking the melody near the sensor. The client called me back, and we figured it out after hearing the parrot mimic my singing. Now I test alarms in silence to avoid confusing pets. It was a good laugh, and I learned to keep it quiet during setups.

That's the thing with pets, they pick up on our weird little habits. My friend's dog started opening cabinets because he saw them do it once. Makes you wonder what else they're learning from us.

Saw my cat try to change the TV channel last week, @kai942. Totally copied me pushing buttons on the remote. They're always watching.
