Hit 500 consecutive panel tamper tests with zero false alarms last week

I've been running a new DSC system at a warehouse near the docks in Baltimore, and after 6 months of tweaking the zones I finally got 500 panel tamper checks in a row without a single false. I'm still not sure if it's the shielded cable or the grounding that made the difference. Has anyone else found a specific trick that got their tamper count that high?

Oh man, that's impressive. My buddy Jeff spent two years messing with tamper checks on a bank system and finally gave up after a lightning storm fried his whole setup. He still says it's all about the grounding though.

All about the grounding" - yeah, that's what Jeff says because the alternative is admitting two years of his life got turned into toast by a random cloud. Honestly though, I feel for the guy. Tamper checks on bank systems are a special kind of headache. The security guys I know say the same thing about grounding, but I still think it's just their way of coping with the fact that they spent months staring at circuit boards for nothing.
