Swapped my LED drop light for a corded one after a close call in the hangar
Back in March I was doing a gear bay inspection at work and my rechargeable LED started dimming halfway through the job. I nearly missed a hairline crack in a brake line because the beam was so weak, that's when I decided enough was enough. I picked up a cheap corded drop light with a 25 foot extension built in and now I never worry about battery life on a big overnight shift. It's heavier and I have to watch where I walk, but the constant bright light is worth it for catching details you cannot see with a dying flashlight. Has anyone else gone back to corded lights for safety reasons or am I just old school about this?
