Pro tip: double check the part number before you drill out a broken bolt

I spent 4 hours on a Cessna 172 flap actuator last Tuesday before realizing I had the wrong replacement bracket because I misread the IPC, has anyone else wasted a whole shift on a simple parts mismatch?

Are you sure that's really a 4 hour mistake or just an excuse to take a slow day? I've seen guys spend half a day chasing a part number that was perfectly fine because they didn't double check the hardware store bin. Sometimes we make it harder than it has to be, right?

Wish I had that problem mine was a stripped bolt that actually was the right part just seized from corrosion.
