Try adding a tiny pinch of cinnamon to that mix, it sounds weird but it makes the paprika and garlic smell incredible.

You know, I have to disagree with you @alicec86. Cinnamon in a savory spice mix just throws the whole flavor off for me. It always ends up tasting like dessert, and not in a good way. I tried it once with chicken and it was a total mess. The sweet note fights with the garlic and makes everything taste confused. I'm sticking with just the classic paprika and garlic combo, maybe some black pepper.
