Tried frozen fries versus fresh cut potatoes in my air fryer and the difference was huge.
I always grabbed a bag of frozen crinkle cuts for a quick side, but last night I cut up two russet potatoes, tossed them in a little oil and salt, and did 15 minutes at 400 degrees. The fresh ones were way crispier outside and actually fluffy inside, not just hollow and dry. Anyone have a good seasoning mix they like for homemade fries?

My buddy did the garlic and onion powder thing you mentioned, but he added a pinch of cayenne. He said it was a game changer, but then he ate the whole batch in one sitting.

I've been overpaying for disappointment in a bag. For seasoning, I just do garlic powder, onion powder, and a ton of paprika.
