My mother in law called my air fryer a 'glorified toaster oven' and I nearly lost it
She said that after I made her the BEST chicken wings she ever had, crispy skin and juicy inside in 12 minutes flat, and now I'm wondering if I should just let her think that so she doesn't ask me to cook every time she visits, has anyone else dealt with family totally dismissing your air fryer?

Oh man, the "glorified toaster oven" line really gets me. That's EXACTLY what my dad said when I first got mine and then he ate THREE plates of the roasted veggies I made. The thing is, air fryers aren't just toaster ovens because they circulate hot air way faster so the outside gets super crispy while the inside stays tender. If she really believes that, just let her keep that opinion honestly. You'll save yourself from having to cook for her every single visit and you can keep enjoying those perfect wings in peace. Nothing wrong with her thinking it's just a fancy toaster if it means less pressure on you.

Let her keep thinking it's a toaster oven. More wings for you.
