My air fryer basket latch snapped mid batch and dumped half cooked wings on the counter
This happened on Sunday night right as I was pulling out a batch of 12 wings at 400 degrees. The latch on my basket had been feeling loose for about two weeks but I kept using it because I did not want to deal with it. When I yanked the drawer out, the whole basket tipped forward and about 8 wings slid right onto the counter and floor. Luckily I had oven mitts on because that hot grease could have really messed up my hand. I ended up finishing the rest in the regular oven and now I am paranoid about checking that latch every single time. Has anyone had a basket just give out on them like this, and did the company cover it or did you just buy a new one?
