Am I the only one who thinks AI chatbots are getting dumber, not smarter?

I've been using the same three chatbots for work tasks over the past year, and last week I noticed one of them kept forgetting basic instructions I gave it just 10 minutes earlier. It's like they're regressing with every update, and nobody's talking about how the cost-cutting is ruining performance. Has anyone else hit a wall with this lately?

and just yesterday mine mixed up my name with someone elses from a completely different chat.

Gotta love when the AI decides you're actually someone named Susan from accounting. Maybe it's just me but these things feel more like a group project where nobody talks to each other inside there. At least yours waited a day to mess up, @hugo_craig, mine forgot my name mid-sentence.
