Showerthought: The silent consensus on voice messages in professional settings
In my office, I've observed that younger colleagues increasingly opt for voice messages instead of phone calls for quick updates. This seems to have created an unspoken agreement that recorded messages are less intrusive than live conversations. Is this trend indicative of a larger cultural preference for controlled communication over spontaneity?

My friend's boss sends voice notes for urgent stuff now, actually.

Ever get a voice note that saved the day? My friend Jen's client freaked out before a big presentation. Her manager sent a voice note with calming points. She listened on the way, nailed the pitch. Says text would have been too slow.
