This seems to have created an unspoken agreement that recorded messages are less intrusive than live conversations. Is this trend indicative of a larger cultural preference for controlled communication over spontaneity?

Ever get a voice note that saved the day? My friend Jen's client freaked out before a big presentation. Her manager sent a voice note with calming points. She listened on the way, nailed the pitch. Says text would have been too slow.
