Tbh, the whole 'no screens before bed' rule made my sleep worse

Everyone says to avoid phones at night, but I was still lying awake for hours. I started reading e-books on my tablet with a blue light filter for 30 minutes. Ngl, it relaxed my mind way more than just sitting in the dark. Figuring out that gentle distraction works for me fixed my insomnia.

Sleep experts hate this one weird trick because it actually works for them.

Honestly @luna_grant9, the real trick is the experts using it while telling you not to.

Funny how that works. Used to swear by the total blackout method, staring at the ceiling in frustration. Then a friend told me she uses a warm nightlight and podcasts. Trying a dim lamp with a boring paperback was the game changer. My brain just needs that tiny bit of focus to stop racing, quiet darkness lets the thoughts get too loud.
