Yeah the "slow fight" part... I dunno, I see it differently. Out here the slots and seasons are actually working, just takes forever to rebuild a whole population.

Florida panther numbers were flat for a decade before new cats mixed in. That kind of stall often means unseen prep work. Might be similar here.
