Tried a laser level on subfloor prep and it worked great

I was always frustrated by how long it takes to get subfloors ready. On my last job, the old wood was all wavy. I decided to try a laser level to find the low spots. Marked them with tape and used a fast drying patch. It cut my time by hours. The new flooring laid flat without any issues. Such a relief to finish early.

Been doing that for years. It saves a ton of time. On my last job, the floor was a mess so I used a laser to find the low spots. Marked them with chalk and filled them with fast drying patch. Before, I wasted hours with a straight edge. Now it's done in no time and the flooring lays flat.

Man that laser trick is a total game changer, I tried it on a bathroom remodel last month and it cut the leveling work in half. Was dealing with this old slab that had all kinds of dips, just swept the laser around and hit every low spot with chalk. Used that same fast patch stuff and it was rock solid in like an hour. Made laying the vinyl plank so much easier, no more weird hollow spots or creaks. Seriously one of those things you try once and never go back.

Wait what... you can actually see the low spots with chalk just from sweeping a laser around? That's wild. I always pictured those laser things just making a straight line, not showing you every single dip in real time. Makes my old method of crawling around with a level look so dumb. Gotta try this next time my bathroom floor needs help.
