PSA: Getting panels straight on a slope drove me nuts until this fix
I had a job on a backyard that sloped way more than it looked. The fence sections kept sitting uneven, no matter how I tried to line them up. I figured out that pre-cutting the uprights to different lengths based on the grade made everything fit right. Now I measure the slope first and cut before I even start digging.

That's a solid fix for sure. How do you actually measure the slope to get the right lengths? I've tried a few ways and some are way more hassle than they're worth.

So you just measure the slope with a level and a tape? @sage_schmidt6, what's the easiest way you've found to do that without a helper?
